Ahoy! It’s late September, if you haven’t already listened to Earth, Wind, & Fire’s September (video)…you have 3 days!
Way back in June, we hauled MACH 5 out in Rocky Point aka Puerto Penasco aka Arizona’s beach. We re-entered America on 22 June. Then we did all this:
- Flew to Minneapolis for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour.
- Experienced PRIDE, Twin City style.
- Flew to San Luis Obispo.
- Visited the Hope In Spades Ranch.
- Drove towards Grand Teton NP via northern NV.
- Visited Grand Teton.
- Stayed in Gardiner, MT by Roosevelt’s Gate at Yellowstone NP.
- Toured Yellowstone.
- Drove the Beartooth Hwy.
- Toured Glacier NP.
- Crossed into Canada.
- Visited Tim Horton’s and Calgary.
- Saw Banff, Lake Louise, and Lake Moraine.
- Camped in Jasper NP.
- Drove the Icefields Parkway.
- Housesat in Prince George for a wonderful Rottie named Gus.
- Headed south to Vancouver.
- Entered the USA again on 1 Aug.
- Stopped in Mt Vernon to sip delicious Chai.
- Housesat in Seattle for a chill cat named Zenzo.
- Got a dead van battery waiting to board a ferry from Seattle to the peninsula.
- Headed to Cape Flattery and hiked to the most NW point in the lower 48.
- Got stuck in Forks for 2 weeks with a bad camshaft.
- Headed south to Oregon for Tillamook and a night.
- Continued more south to camp in the Redwoods for a weekend.
- All this with a check engine light on and no idea why (since Forks).
- Headed back to Hope In Spades Ranch to head to a Chevy dealer.
- Chevy dealer said new catalytic convertor. We passed.
- Did day trips around Central Cali. Ventura. Lompoc. L.A.. Morro Bay. Costa Mesa. Two more California Missions.
- Got a huge chunk of metal in a van tire. Had to buy 2 new tires.
- Headed back to Ventura.
- Headed to visit the boat for a few days in Mexico.
- Headed north of the border to Arizona to register the van and trailer.
- Headed to Show Low, AZ.
- Headed to San Diego.
- Housesat in San Diego for a three weiner dogs named Elsa aka The Queen, Lucy aka Lucy Goosey The Wild Child, and Zoey aka Zoe-Zoe and my favorite.
And that brings us to today and writing this post. We have so many memories to share, photos to edit, videos to edit. Blog posts to make. But first, we head back to Mexico this weekend and begin a month in an apt while doing boatwork.
