Follow-up on my previous post, I finally uploaded a couple of videos to YouTube. Check out these scenes from our Benicia to Pt Richmond motoring.

The bridges here are the Benicia-Martinez, which is 138ft, and the Union Pacific bridge, which is 70ft down and 135ft raised. Our mast is 64.5ft at zero tide. We’re pretty sure. But this was high tide! We were able to call the bridge to lift for us. Which also means Amtrak can’t go by while we go under. We have the power!

I mentioned we had swell, wind, and waves. Here’s the “calmer” bay, San Pablo. Even the iPad on the helm got salt spray! See the Eisenglass get splashed around 20s.

Just for the beauty of it, here’s the bridge up with golden hour.

Bridge up! Breathe.
